2 Pac Finsh
2 pac or 2 pak is short for 2 pack.
The term Two Pack refers to a special technique and paint solution applied to the cabinets.
A 2 pac finish consists of two containers of liquids: One pack contains paint. The other pack is a hardener.
2 Pac is applied in a highly controlled environment to ensure that there is no interference with the paint (such as dust for example).
Two pack allows the option of any custom colour with several different surface finishes including a high gloss, semi gloss and matte finish.
Melamine Finish
Melamine is constructed by bonding layers of paper under a low pressure. Melamine kitchen doors are made with either moisture resistant MDF or particleboard with a square edged profile. The melamine resin fuses the chosen material onto the board, eliminating the need for an adhesive.
Melamine kitchen cabinets are an affordable option for budget-conscious homeowners.
Laminate Finish
Laminate cabinetry consists of a decorative surface applied to moisture resistance particleboard and is most commonly used as a benchtop or cabinet finish. Laminate kitchen cabinets consist of layers of pressed paper, with a customised top layer. The paper is fused together under high heat and pressure, and is glued onto a wood substrate with an adhesive.
With laminate, you can also get nearly any colour you wish. Laminate materials come in all different prints, colours and finishes.
